The tesa® 60418 is a more sustainable carton sealing tape with a total recycled content of 60%. It is composed of a tacky synthetic rubber hotmelt adhesive and a very thin polyester (PET) backing, which is made up of 85% recycled post-consumer waste.
- Tensile Strength and Elongation: The tape has a tensile strength of 38 N/cm (21.7 lbs/in) and an elongation at break of 120%, which means it can withstand significant stress without breaking. maximum packaging weight of up to 25 kg.
- Adhesion: It has an adhesion to steel of 6 N/cm (3.43 lbs/in), ensuring a strong bond to carton surfaces.
- Unwinding and Application: The tape features a low unwinding force and a very good immediate closing performance.
- The tape boasts a total recycled content of 60%, with the PET backing material being made from 85% recycled post-consumer waste. This significantly reduces the environmental impact of the tape, making it a more sustainable choice for packaging needs.
